See more photos Kuttolsheim is home to a Tibetan Buddhist temple, an inter-regional meeting place for adherents and sympathizers. In 1982 and 1987, the Dalai Lama, the spiritual and temporal leader of Tibetan Buddhism, visited the temple of the Sakya Tsehen Ling European Institute, which was built in the village in 1978.
