In Jo's world, rats brandish swords, ghosts defend their convictions and vegetables have feelings. Her illustrations are populated by endearing, quirky creatures, carrying messages with equal parts tenderness and humor.
His style blends the energy of kawaii, the generosity of detail and a healthy dose of irreverence, all in colorful, abundant compositions that make you want to look again and again.
And when he swaps the stylus for the gouge, Jo engraves his creatures in lino with the same malice, for unique prints, raw and full of life.
