To mark Heritage Days, Ferme Lechner in Pfettisheim opens its doors to the public on Saturday, September 20.


A specialist in foie gras in Alsace for many years, Ferme Lechner raises male mulard ducks and geese. Hundreds of birds occupy the farm. They are fed with corn and wheat from the farm. The estate also boasts an old-fashioned smokehouse.

The ducks arrive in the duck house when they are one day old, and are force-fed from the age of 14 weeks.

Between the ducks' quacking and the geese's cackling, the farm is well guarded, so visitors are invited to discover the fresh produce and preserves produced on the farm!
