Photo JEMA : Rencontre entre le feu, le bois et la pierre

On the occasion of the Journées Européennes des Métiers d'Art (JEMA), "Fleur de l'Âme" by Nicolas Genamez, blacksmith, knifemaker and sharpener, invites "Atynio" by Kossi Agbavito (wood sculptor) and "l'Atelier XIII OR du temps" by Cédric Oesch (stone mason) to share their universe and create a dialogue between materials.
Around the Fleur de l'Âme forge, metal takes shape under the action of fire and hammering.
Around the Fleur de l'Âme forge, metal takes shape under the action of fire and hammering. The gesture is precise, demanding, inherited from ancient know-how, but resolutely anchored in the present. Alongside him, a woodcarver and a stonecutter complete this dialogue between elements. Wood, a living material, reveals its veins and tensions under the sculptor's tools, while stone, mineral and timeless, is shaped with patience and rigor.

This event is designed to be a time for sharing and discovery, in keeping with the spirit of JEMA: to enable the public to get closer to the crafts, to understand the intimate link between materials and gestures, and to exchange ideas directly with the artisans.

Demonstrations, discussions and moments of observation will punctuate these two days, offering a sensitive look at practices where time and attention are essential.

On this occasion, you can also enjoy the "Alsaciennes" exhibition, by painter Line, which will be held in the former tobacco drying shed, transformed into an exhibition space.

"Rencontre entre le feu, le bois et la pierre" is an invitation to push open the door of an inhabited place, to meet those who shape matter with passion, and to celebrate craftsmanship at its most essential: the gesture.
