See more photos "To capture a moment is to freeze an emotion, a flash of light, a breath of the world. I've always photographed without pretension, simply driven by the desire to capture what amazes me: the spontaneity of a scene of life, architecture, the softness of a sunset, reflections, sometimes even the reflection of my own soul.
This exhibition has a special resonance. It was born of a promise, an encouragement, an unfailing friendship. A loved one urged me to share my images, to dare to exhibit them. He was a force, a luminous presence, a lion at heart.
A year after he took to the skies, I pay tribute to him through these photographs, witnesses to the world as I saw it and as I see it.
He was compared to a lion, and the strength he carried within him still resonates today.
May this exhibition be a moment of sharing, emotion and contemplation. A suspended moment, like a photograph."
