Eglise Saint Martin

Eglise Saint Martin

The church was built between 1001 and 1014 and is the first church in the Kochersberg to have a fortified tower: cornerstones, loopholes and gunnery are still visible. The bell tower rests on the foundations of an old Roman temple. The nave was enlarged in 1715 and extended again by "21 feet" in 1821. The entrance of the church with its sculptures and bas-relief dates from the same period. A document presenting the building will be made available to visitors.
